Here’s how to make a matcha latte at home in minutes using chef Candice Kumai’s easy method.

Fall has never tasted better.

Traditionally, you make matcha with achasen (a bamboo whisk)and 175-185 degree Fahrenheit water.

It works surprisingly well, as long as you keep the power level low to avoid splashing and accidents.

Place your matcha powder in a bone-dry Vitamix or high-speed blender.

Add your hot water, and coconut manna/butter and carefully blend on low.

After a few seconds, slowly bring to medium-high power.

Blend for about 10-15 additional seconds until frothy and well-combined.

Add sweetener if desired.

Divide matcha mixture between two serving cups.

Pour your almond milk into the side of the cup to top off.
